Road Right is a series of ten questions about cyclists and motorists sharing the roads, one or more of which will be asked on your compulsory driver's licence test.

Q 1) Todd's driving to his mate's place and on the way he approaches a bicycle rider on the road, how should he overtake the bicycle rider?

The same as he would another car, when safe to do so

Overtake the bicycle rider quickly and speed up to stop the other driver becoming aggressive.

Resist the pressure, stay calm and overtake the bicycle rider when it is safe to do so.

Go slower because the slower you go the safer you are.

Q 4) Is Todd, the car driver, permitted to cross the lines to overtake Scott, the bicycle rider, if the way forward is clear?

Yes, only if it is one way traffic.
